The difference between recycled acrylic yarn and ordinary acrylic yarn

1. The composition is different: recycled acrylic is made of waste acrylic textiles as raw materials, acrylic products made of recycled technology, acrylic is a synthetic fiber made of polyacrylonitrile or acrylonitrile content greater than 85 percent (mass percentage) of acrylonitrile copolymer.

2. Different performance: nylon fiber has excellent chemical stability, wear resistance and strength, suitable for the production of high strength, high wear resistance products, and recycled nylon fiber performance is relatively weak, but more environmentally friendly, suitable for the production of lightweight environmental protection products.

Recycled acrylic yarn has excellent performance, because of its properties close to wool, so it is called "synthetic wool". Industrial production has been greatly developed since 1950. The total output of acrylic fiber in the world was 2.52 million tons in 1996, the output of China was 297,000 tons. China will vigorously develop acrylic fiber production in the future.

Although acrylic fiber is usually called polyacrylonitrile fiber, acrylonitrile (commonly called the first monomer) accounts for only 90% to 94%, the second monomer accounts for 5% to 8%, and the third monomer is 0.3% to 2.0%.
This is because the fibers made of a single acrylonitrile polymer lack flexibility, are brittle, and dyeing is very difficult. In order to overcome these shortcomings of polyacrylonitrile, people use the method of adding a second monomer to make the fiber compliant; The third monomer was added to improve the dyeing ability.
